Club Bouncer To Navjot : ‘You Are Wearing A Turban, Means You Are A Terrorist’
A London based Engineer Navjot Sawhney, who is currently travelling through Europe, faced racism in a club called Shakers in Poland.
According to him the bouncer said since he was wearing a turban, it meant he was a terrorist.
“All of my friends with whom I was visiting the club – including my best friend Steve (a white, British student) – were permitted entry,” “Only I was turned away. When I asked why, the bouncer told me it was because of my dress code. Steve pointed out that he and I were dressed identically. The bouncer replied that I was wearing a turban, and that meant I was a terrorist.”
Moreover when Navjot tried to shake hand with the bouncer to bring the unpleasantness to an end, he punched him and knocked is turban off.
Here’s his Facebook post:
The Polish Embassy in London assured that they would look into the matter.
Few day’s later The club itself sent an apology letter to Navjot:
Sawhney has thanked all his supporters in Krakow , Poland and throughout the world, saying “I cannot sufficiently express how grateful I am,” he continued, explaining that it was the support from Polish people and others all around the world that made the difference.
