9 Images with Captions That Prove Kumartuli is Rising Even Before The Durga Puja
Kumartuli is traditionally the potters’ quarter of Kolkata. By virtue of their artistic productions these potters have moved from obscurity to prominence. This Kolkata neighbourhood, not only supplies clay idols of Hindu gods and goddesses to Barowari Pujas in Kolkata and its neighbourhoods, but a number of idols are exported abroad. Recently Pujo Scope, a Facebook page dedicated to Durga Puja , took some stunning images of Clay idols of Maa Durga and included captions that perfectly goes with Kolkata Bengali culture. They called it “Kumartuli Jagchhe”.
