Even Pakistanis Are Criticising Faisal Qureshi’s Hate Speech On India
Those who have missed Pakistani actor Faisal Qureshi’s hate and anger filled speech on India and the movie Phantom, here’s the video.
It has created a fair amount of outrage among Indian youth on social media. We are surprised to see that even Pakistani writers and social media users are also criticising his spiteful words.
Writing for a blog for the Express Tribune, writer Noman Ansari blatantly tells Faisal, that his:
‘video was even more offensive than the movie he was targeting’ ‘never seen such a potent combination of misogyny, sexism, and misdirected saber rattling, packed into a 12-minute long video.’ Your attempts to belittle Khan by repeatedly calling him ‘behan’ (sister) and ‘bachi’ (little girl) are so demeaning.’
“We aren’t against Pakistan, Qureshi. We’re against you. Who do you think appointed you Captain Pakistan?”
Among several other comments he received from Pakistani social media users, this comment by Shaan Taseer stands out.
On one side people on both sides of the border trying make peace in every sense possible while on the other side people like Faisal Qureshi creates an ambience of violence.
