Your Story: This Titan Shop in Kolkata actually charged more instead of giving discount
I bought a Fastrack watch from the ‘World of Titan’ showroom at Maurya Center,48,Gariahat Road, Kolkata, 700019 on 13th of June of this year. The cashier had wrongly debited Rs 2166 for the watch which actually costs Rs 1696 from my Allahabad Bank debit card. Realizing his mistake,he voided the transaction immediately and told me the amount will be refunded to my account in maximum 7 days. But even after 10 days the money was not refunded to my account. When I visited my Allahabad bank manager of Park circus branch, he said the amount has been debited from my account but no amount has been refunded as per my updated statement till date. The bank manager has even provided me a written statement that they have not received the amount with his signature and bank stamp. Again I visited the showroom, the store manager Mr Nitesh Ganeriwal said they had voided the transaction and the void receipt is itself a proof that the fund is not lying with them or their concerned bank (HDFC).
HDFC bank asks the customer to check with Allahabad Bank
If both the parties have done their part of work and are not willing to take the responsibility then where is my money lying?

Where are we standing in the game of Shops and Banks? Why would a customer suffer when mistake was on the behalf of Titan? Is this how Titan treats its customers?
